Do You Believe in MAGIC?What is MAGIC Camp? MAGIC (Mentoring a Girl in Construction) Camp is a unique hands-on training camp that teaches the basic skills of the construction trades as well as instruction using hand and power tools, learning about alternative energy and more. Our students have the wonderful opportunity to attend a camp at a first-rate state university campus. They have direct contact with college students encouraging more girls to attend college and choose to pursue a construction related degree. You meet women already employed in the trades. The world of construction and employment within it is wide open. If you are a high school girl looking to discover the many career opportunities available in our exciting and rewarding industry, you are encouraged to fill out an application form to attend our one-week, FREE summer camp on the campus of California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo June 25-29, 2012, where you will be introduced to the basic skills of construction by making projects that you can take home while you learn carpentry, electrical, concrete, sheet metal skills and much more. |
